Tap Series provides online food handler training. Food handler training is optional in most areas and this course provides excellent food worker training to teach the important principles of food safety to food handlers. Your local regulatory agency may have additional requirements. Please contact your local regulatory agency for more information.Portions of the full certification training that only apply to food handlers who do not need to take an exam.This training is a general food handler course. If your local health department requires a food handler card, you will need to take that course. Before purchasing this course, check to see if another course is offered for your jurisdiction.This course takes approximately one hour to complete and, upon successful completion, provides a printable food handler certificate. This certificate is good for up to three years.This course is not to prepare workers to take a certification exam. The course to study for the certification exam is Food Safety Manager Certification Training.

This course has been approved by the Municipality of Anchorage Public Health. TAP Series is the exclusive provider of online training for the Anchorage Food Worker Card. The Municipality of Anchorage Certified Food Work Card is being accepted on most locations statewide and, that it the responsibility of the card holder to verify acceptance outside of the geographic boundaries of the Municipality of Anchorage. All food workers in the Municipality of Anchorage are required to obtain a Food Worker Card within 21 days of hire. Upon successful completion of the course and final exam, you will be able to download and print your Food Worker Card. Your Anchorage Food Worker Card is valid for 3 years. The online Anchorage Food Worker course and card fee is $10. If you completed the online training over 30 days ago and lost your Anchorage Food Worker Card, you can order a replacement by paying the $5 fee, as required by the Municipality of Anchorage.

Six local public health agencies serving the Missouri portion of the Kansas City Metropolitan area are working together to increase the effectiveness of food handler education. This course is approved in Jackson County and uses state-of-the-art programming which can be used on all computers, tablets and smartphones, without the need for any other downloads. Do not buy the Food Handler Training if you hold a valid Food Protection Manager Certification pursuant to current food safety law. Upon successful completion of your course and test, you will print your Food Handler Card.The permit from this course is valid in the following areas: Blue Springs, Buckner, Grain Valley, Grandview, Greenwood, Lake Lotawana, Lee’s Summit, Lone Jack, Oak Grove, Raytown, Sugar Creek and Unincorporated Jackson County.If you wish to use this food handler training in Cass County, Clay County, Independence, Kansas City, or Platte County, you will need to take a proctored exam. To take the proctored exam, you will need a current valid picture identification along with the certificate from this course. Please call 816-847-7070 to schedule a proctored exam.If you purchase the incorrect course, you will have to pay an additional $10 transfer fee at the Kansas City Health Department.
